Boardroom Communications proudly supports Legal Aid Society of Broward County’s “For The Public Good Event,” taking place tonight, Oct. 14, at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. This event is an excellent opportunity to meet hundreds of prominent Broward legal and business professionals, members of the judiciary, nonprofit organizations, as well as others who support the mission of Legal Aid. This is the organization’s annual fundraiser, and has already raised more than $117,000, and counting. We hope to see you there!

Join us this Thursday evening at Yolo for Legal Aid’s NEXT event celebrating National Caramel Popcorn Day.

This innovative NEXT program merges the “social media revolution” with the traditional goals of recruiting pro bono attorneys, recognizing participants, placing cases with the private bar for handling, raising funds, and growing awareness in the community about the work Legal Aid does to meet the civil legal needs of Broward County’s underserved populations. This group meets quarterly to network and celebrate some of the most interesting holidays.

Don Silver, COO Boardroom Communications, a leading Florida public relations and online marketing agency, recently adopted the Brown family from Legal Aid Service of Broward County’s Adopt a Family Program. The single mother of two teenage daughters presented a wish list to Legal Aid and Silver provided them with most if not all of their requests.

Silver and his son Alex paid the Browns a visit to deliver new dining room chairs, computer printer and supplies, movie gift certificates, and Amazon.com gift cards.

All had a great time opening the gifts and getting to know one-another.
