BoardroomPR has been a proud supporter of Florida’s Children First (FCF) for more than a decade, including its events across the state. The organization, which is the premier child advocacy group in Florida, recently recognized Orlando-area child advocates and former foster children at its annual Child Advocacy Awards & Reception at Shakai Sushi Lounge in downtown Orlando. The event raised money that will be used by the organization to help vulnerable children around the state.

FCF Executive Director Christina Spudeas led the event along with Tampa 10 News WTSP Reporter Grayson Kamm, who is a native of Orlando and served as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies.

Orlando honorees included “Child Advocate of the Year” award winner Melissa Landry, “Media Advocate of the Year” Vanessa Echols and “Youth Honoree” Julia Schaffer.

BoardroomPR President Julie Talenfeld proudly serves on the FCF Board and has always been a supporter of community programs. She noted, “the inspiring stories of these wonderful honorees help shine a light on Florida’s foster care youth and those who work tirelessly to better their lives.”
