Hot off the Press! Associated Builders & Contractors Tackling the Workforce Shortage in Construction Executive
May 7, 2019
Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Florida East Coast chapter, the area’s largest commercial construction association, is dedicated to developing the future of the construction workforce. With an estimated 500,000 open construction jobs across the country, BoardroomPR is helping the chapter spread awareness of the resources the organization makes available to combat the shortage through its integrated public relations and social media campaigns.
Chapter president and CEO, Peter Dyga, was recently featured in Construction Executive, breaking down the workforce challenges, legislation, culture shifts and changes in academia that are impacting the labor force and the development of the industry’s future.
In addition to workforce development, ABC held its Spring GC Showcase at Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines to help continue to build connections between the region’s construction professionals. The BoardroomPR team was on hand to capture the event in real-time, conducting on-site interviews with attendees and exhibitors, discussing the state of the market and upcoming projects.
