October 28, 2024
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL and NEW YORK, NY – On Thursday, October 17th, top executives from South Florida’s real estate industry gathered at Level 6 in Coconut Grove for a special cocktail event celebrating the upcoming 10th annual Covenant House Real Estate Executive Sleep Out. The event, drew leaders from companies such as Related, Atlas Real Estate Partners, Torose Equities, Starwood, Rialto, Banyan Street, Andover Real Estate Partners, One Real Estate, Amli, Berkadia, Newmark, Greystone and many more, was a resounding success, offering an evening of networking and advocacy for a critical cause.
The cocktail event not only highlighted the past successes of the Sleep Out, but invited more real estate professionals to participate. The 2024 Covenant House Real Estate Executive Sleep Out, taking place on Thursday, November 14th, will span both New York City and South Florida. During this impactful event, hundreds of real estate professionals will spend one night sleeping outside to raise awareness and funds for homeless youth. Over the past decade, this initiative has raised more than $3 million to support Covenant House’s mission to provide shelter, food, and life-changing services for vulnerable young people.
Founded 10 years ago by Arvind Chary, Matt Schmeelk and Scott Sherman, the Sleep Out has grown into one of the most significant philanthropic events in the real estate community. With the November 14th event approaching, Covenant House is aiming to expand its reach by engaging more executives and companies to join the movement and become “sleepers” for this vital cause.
