As the saying goes, making a good first impression is key. Especially when applying for a job. However, for many women at the poverty level, something as simple as having an outfit to wear can become a barrier to obtaining employment. Enter Dress for Success, an organization dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

In addition to providing these women with professional attire to secure employment, Dress for Success provides career center and job training.

Recently, BoardroomPR Vice President Michelle Griffith partnered with several members of the ATHENA NextGen Class of 2017 to collect suits, shoes, purses and other professional attire. Members of the BoardroomPR team, along with many other offices, raided their closets to provide donations and contribute to the dozens of bags of clothes that were delivered.
