While some feel awkward about asking for testimonials form current and former clients and contacts, BoardroomPR’s COO Don Silver doesn’t. He was recently interviewed for the May issue of FastCompany, a top-tier national magazine focused on technology, business and high design. He described several tactics he uses to get positive reviews, endorsements and recommendations on social media and for his website. One of his favorites follows the “Give to Get” principle: He chooses the people he admires and respects the most and provides several Linkedin endorsements and at least one in-depth recommendation a week. More times than not, the favor is often returned.
